Are you interested in survival ideas cooking alternatives when camping? A gas grill will be a great option for cooking meat or to heat various types of foods. If a gas grill is not available, then a good alternative for cooking food is to use a penny can stove.

You can easily make a penny can stove from two empty beer cans or soda cans. A pair of tin snips is all you need to cut the cans into two pieces. One will need to be slighter taller than the other. The filler for your stove will be fiberglass that you can get from standard wall insulation.

A little denatured alcohol is all you need to create the flame for a penny can stove.
