Many recipes can be used to make various types of homemade soap. Most DIY soaps are made by using a cold process or hot process based on the type of soap. These methods are typically used to make bar soap. A liquid hand soap is another option to consider.

Strangely enough, you will need to use bar soap to make your homemade liquid hand soap. This is necessary as a small amount of the bar soap will be the base for your liquid soap. The best option is to use a plain soap that does not have a lot of unhealthy additives.

Heat is an important part of this task and means you will need to use your stove or a hot plate. Although the actual time to make the soap is short, the soap will need to cure for about 24 hours before it can be used. Your liquid hand soap will then need to be transferred to a suitable container like a simple pump dispenser and it’s ready to go.
