Flowers are not the only things that can be grown in containers. There are a variety of fruits and vegetables a person can easily grow at home in various types of containers. One fruit you might want to grow in containers for food is strawberries. Growing strawberries in containers is not as difficult as it seems.

Almost any type of containers can be used when you want to grow strawberries. The best container to use for this project is a five-gallon bucket or something which is at least one- foot wide. Growing strawberries in containers can easily be done in areas that have a warm climate during the spring or fall.

Make sure to water your strawberries regularly to ensure healthy fruit. One thing to keep in mind about growing strawberries in containers is making sure they are kept in the sun at least six hours each day. They will last about two to three years before replacing.
