Making use of a patio or deck often means adding various pieces of furniture. You can easily put chairs and other seating, but other elements are also needed like a side table. If you enjoy doing DIY projects, then a perfect idea is to make a side table with concrete top.

You can make your own side table with concrete top from good quality scrap lumber. Do not use wood from a pallet or use any lightweight wood. The best type of wood is a standard 2×4 that may need to be cut to make the pieces that are needed.

Any type of Quickcrete can be used once you are ready to make the top of the table. You need to have a form that can be made using galvanized flashing. Be prepared to wait a couple of days as the concrete needs to cure before you can use your side table with concrete top.
